         The Manila Tango Festival was conceived as a coming out party of this vibrant city, finally joining the league of Tango communities around the region. Inhabited by exceptionally good dancers, Manila houses two tango organizations: the Manila Tango Club and the Philippine Argentine Tango Association dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the Argentine. Tango as an art form  in the archipelago. Having started with Tango way ahead of their Asian counterparts in the mid 90's, next to Hong kong and Japan, the promotion of the dance has somehow been way-laid for a few years, only to come back with surge never seen in the city before. Like the Tango, Manila is enjoying a resurgence of the dance among the hearts of the avid dance aficionado.
